So far, one of the most popular items from the Sale-a-bration Catalog seems to be the Hippest Hippos stamp set, and the Hippo Dies appear to be a close second. I’ve seen so many cards and projects with the Hippos online. So many people have done an amazing job coloring in the hippos with our Blends alcohol markers. I love the fabulous coloring, but speaking from experience, I don’t always have time to do that coloring and shading. Taking the easy way out, I stamped my hippo on our gray paper. This is a quick way to get a gray hippo for those that aren’t comfortable with coloring.
This project uses the new mini envelop dies. These envelopes are great for treat holders, small notes, small gifts. I used the Rings of Love pattern paper to wrap around the envelop. When I make these kinds of treat holders, I always make sure my seam where the paper meets is on the front side. I know that it will be hidden underneath my decoration on the front. And this keeps the back of the project looking nice and neat as well.
This project would be great for party favors, small thank you’s, or little treats to pass out to friends. And they quick to make, which means you can make several in a short amount of time.
