Got Thanks?

February 23, 2018 by Diane Leave a Comment

Have I mentioned before how much I love Paper Pumpkin? Of course I have! It’s definitely not a secret. My all time favorite quality about the Paper Pumpkin subscription is that it saves me time over and over again.

February is birthday month around here between my son’s, my mom’s and my birthday. I’m one of those old fashioned people that still sends thank you notes for birthday gifts. And, I make sure my son sends them as well. So, we routinely need a handful of cards in February ready to go.

This time, I used the cards from the December Paper Pumpkin kit. December’s kit had two different card styles with beautiful bright colors with leaves, flowers, and butterflies. Perfect to warm your thoughts in the middle of winter.
The kit had other options for sentiments, but I made all of the cards into thank you cards, knowing I would probably use almost all of them. The kit showed the samples with the plain white banner and just the sentiment stamped on it. I wanted to carry through the theme and stamped the leaves on the banners as well. I think it looks so much better than the plain white. But, if you didn’t want to bother with the extra stamping, then you could have easily skipped that step.  I think I have two cards left out of the set of 8. I’m sure I’ll use them for something else soon.

By the way, if you’re wondering how I get an 18 year old to send written thank you notes, I make it as easy as possible. I have the cards ready to go, with the envelopes already addressed and stamped. I stand there with the pen in hand and get him to do it right then. If I hand them off to him and expect to see them later, it’s not going to happen. But by having it all ready to go for him, he can see that it’s quick and easy. As soon as he signs his name, I stuff it in the envelope and it’s ready to go.

March is the 5th Anniversary for Paper Pumpkin. To celebrate, Stampin Up is including a FREE gift in every March kit and the box has been redesigned for March only just for the Anniversary celebration.
