Father’s Day is Around the Corner

May 17, 2019 by Diane Leave a Comment

One of my favorite projects to make is treat holders and packaging. There are so many different things that you can make and you can find hundreds of different ideas online.  Today’s project is one of my favorites and is so easy to make. This is called a “diaper fold” treat holder. There are four simple steps to make this packaging. Since I do so much better with visual images, I’m including a diagram on how to do the folds.Using the images above as a guideline, here are the four easy steps.

  • Use a square piece of paper and fold it in half on the diagonal. I used 6×6” piece of pattern paper for my project.
  • Take the point on the left and fold it over to the right. Your point should be at the middle of the right side. Since I used a 6×6” piece of paper, I lined the point up at the 3” mark.
  • Take the point on the right and fold it back over to the left, meeting up with the edge.
  • Fold the top front triangle down over the top of the right fold. This gives you the pouch.
  • Decorate outside of pouch as desired.

This is such a quick project to make. And since there are so few steps, this is perfect for something like party treats or classroom treats.

With Father’s Day coming up in just a couple weeks, I thought this would be the perfect start to some Father’s Day projects. This size packaging can fit a small treat or even a gift card. Since this is for a guy, I didn’t want to add a bunch of embellishments or ribbon. I wanted to keep the packaging simple.

I’m sure Dad would love to receive something like this from you. You have plenty of time to make something special just for him. Click the Order Online button on the right and it will take you directly to my shop so you can pick out just the right paper and products to make your own treat holder for your Dad.

Have you seen the Everything Is Rosy kit? It’s available for the month of May only (or while supplies last). This is a fun new collection of products that all coordinate together – stamps, dies, paper, ribbon, and embellishments. There are no instructions in the kit so you are limited only by your imagination.

Here’s a sneak peak of June’s Paper Pumpkin kit. The June kit makes it easy for you to scatter sunshine this summer—whenever, with whomever. Not only do we give you 16 fun-sized, beach-themed cards and envelopes, but we also provide you with an exclusive carrying case so you’ll always have your cards on hand to share wherever you go. And don’t forget the exclusive stamp set and ink spot that completes every Paper Pumpkin kit! Coordinating colors: Coastal Cabana, Crumb Cake, and Old Olive.

Check out our brand new Storage line! These products have been so popular that they sold very quickly. The Storage products will be back in stock in just a few weeks.
