Today is the last day of our Display Stamper Blog Hop. I hope you’ve enjoyed the amazing projects. If you haven’t had a chance to check out the Hop every day, do yourself a favor and go back to check out the links. There are some great ideas here and the Occasions Catalog is right around the corner. Tomorrow, I will be back to my regular blogging schedule of Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. And I’ll be back to sharing a few more Holiday cards and projects to finish out the year.
My final project that I’m sharing for the Hop is a burlap canvas that I made using a photo of my daughter. You can find burlap canvases at craft stores or you can even make your own with a bit of burlap and a hot glue gun. I like the rustic look of the burlap.
The flowers are from the brand new stamp set Beautiful Day. I stamped them several times, then crinkled and layered various sizes of the flower. The Berry Burst binder clip is also a new product coming out in the Occasions catalog. These binder clips are a little smaller than what you normally see in an office supply store. They are not really flat enough to mail or put in a scrapbook, but they are perfect for projects like this or for any of our boxes and bags.
I do have a couple recommendations when making something on a canvas. I lay everything out first before I start gluing to make sure I have the correct placement and balance. To assemble the flowers and leaves arrangement, I use my tear and tape to hold them together. And then I use my hot glue gun to glue everything down to the canvas. The hot glue gun is the best glue when working with a canvas or any other uneven surface. One thing to keep in mind though is once you’ve glued it with the hot glue gun, it is permanent.
I will be sharing the rest of the OnStage Display projects that I made in the next couple months so be sure to check back regularly.

Since it’s Thanksgiving weekend, there’s one more thing to be thankful for… That’s right, a Stampin Up sale! For the first 24 hours, Stampin Up will have a number of stamp sets on sale at really great prices. Tuesday through Sunday, Stampin Up is adding some of my favorite framelits and dies to the sale. And we’ll close out Cyber Monday with a bang with FREE SHIPPING! Now you have no excuse to not snag those stamps you’ve been eyeing.
A brand new product?!? Say what?!? Yes, the Stampin Blends markers are available to purchase starting November 1st. The Stampin Blends markers are alcohol based markers and they help you create beautiful coloring with shading. Check out the Orchid in this picture. It is stunning. You really get the depth of the flower with the lighter and darker areas. With a little bit of practice, you’ll have these markers mastered in no time.
