What’s New at SU? Paper!

Today I’m Hoppin with the “What’s New at SU” team again and we are sharing lots of brilliant ideas on how to use that fabulous Stampin Up pattern paper. This is the perfect Hop theme for this month since our Designer Series Paper is on sale for Buy 3, Get 1 Free during the month of July. Select packs of DSP are on sale and you can see the details for the sale at the bottom of my post.

Summer is in full swing and I’m dreaming of tropical palm trees and sandy beaches. What I wouldn’t give for a little tropical escape from the day to day responsibilities! Until I can visit the islands again, I’ll just have to relive a past trip through pictures.

Scrapbooking can be a daunting task, but it doesn’t have to be. I know you want to remember every little detail of your fabulous trip and treasure those hundreds of pictures you took, but a good place to start is with a mini album.

So many pictures + so many supplies = being overwhelmed. A mini album is a great way to enjoy a dozen or so of your favorite pictures from the trip. And with a mini album, you can easily finish it in a couple hours and start sharing your pictures immediately. Todays’ project is a mini flip book that is in a free-standing picture frame.

My flip book is only six pages, but it could easily be twice this amount without a problem. I focused on the Tropical Escape Suite of products from the Annual Catalog. This Suite has coordinating pattern paper (and it’s on sale this month), card stock, stamp set, dies, ribbon, and embellishments. And it all looks so pretty together! We went to Hawaii years ago and I never got around to finishing my scrapbook for the trip. I left tons of space on the pages so I can add my photos to them. I’ll pick my favorite 10-12 pictures and add them to the pages. I left the backside of the pages blank so I can write down my favorite memories about the trip too and some details about the photos. Eventually, I’ll get around to finishing my scrapbook about the trip, but in the meantime this is perfect to remember the highlights.

I hope you enjoyed today’s post using that amazing Tropical Escape paper. When you buy our fabulous paper, please make it a point to use it. I know we get into the habit of hoarding it, but when you use it in projects, the results can be amazing!
