And now for today’s post…
Right before OnStage a few weeks ago, I hosted a guessing game in my downline group. Did you know I have a private Facebook Group for my Downline? It’s a great place where we exchange ideas, ask questions, and stay in touch with each other. Over four days, I asked specific questions about what the ladies thought would appear in the upcoming Sale-Abration and Occasions Catalogs. Their deadline to post all of their answers was the day before they gave us the catalogs at OnStage.
For each of the four questions, I picked a winner based on the closest guess. The toughest question to come up with a “closest” answer was my question about the critter stamp set that would be in the Sale-Abration Catalog. (For the last several years, Stampin up has had an adorable critter stamp set in that catalog – pandas, frogs, chickens, etc.)
This year the critter is a Meerkat! Well, who would have guessed Meerkat? Actually no one did. So I picked the person who guessed sloths since the other guesses were llama and fox. You’re thinking… how is a meerkat like a sloth? Well, it isn’t totally but meerkats don’t have hooves (like llamas) and they aren’t part of the canine family (like foxes).  Plus the person who guessed fox had won a prize in another category and I wanted to spread the prizes a little further.
After I received my pre-order from OnStage, I packaged up their prizes. Each of the four winners received a 6×6 sampling of the paper, ribbon, and embellishments from one of the Suites in the upcoming catalog. And everyone received a different prize. Kind of fun!
Here is the card they each received along with the four different prizes. I made sampler packs for the Parisian Blossoms Suite, Peaceful Poppies Suite, From My Heart Suite, and Tropical Oasis Suite. The card uses a new background stamp called Breathtaking Bouquet from the Occasions Catalog too.
I think the prizes were a hit. I heard from several that seeing the products in person is so different than seeing them in a catalog. I know our media department works hard to put a good catalog together, but there’s just something about being able to rifle through the paper yourself or touch the actual ribbon and play with the embellishments. It just makes me giddy.
If you want to join a fun group of ladies, then you need to join my team. We get together every month, do some crafts, and occasionally I have some fun games for everyone to play. Plus we always get to order new products before everyone else, and it’s always at a discount. What are you waiting for?
