I can’t believe we are already to Day 4 of our Blog Hop! Have you had a chance to check out the other Pages? I am wowed by their projects. These are some seriously talented ladies.
Today is November 23rd, which is Thanksgiving Day in the United States. And it’s also my wedding anniversary today. It’s amazing how quickly the 21 years has passed. In honor of my Anniversary today, I’m sharing the Love Banner that I made for theOnStage Displays. At the time I made it, I had no idea that I would actually share it today of all days. But sometimes things just have a way of working out.
One of the stamp sets that I got to preview was Heart Happiness. This stamp set is perfect for Valentine’s Day with hearts in a dozen different sizes and styles. This banner is small enough that you could mail it to someone.
To make the banner, I die cut the Petal Passion paper (the black and white pattern paper) with the Lots of Labels framelits. Then I folded one end over the top of the ribbon. I secured it to the ribbon with a bit of tear & tape adhesive and the new Silver Mini Binder Clips. The package of clips comes in four different colors, but I used all silver for this project.
I made the silver tassels at each end using the new Silver Baker’s Twine. Tassels are really easy to make from baker’s twine. I usually just wrap the twine around my fingers until it’s as thick as I need it. Then I tie on a loop at one end so I have a way to hang it from my project. If you forget to add a loop at the top, you can use a needle to thread a piece of twine through the top to make your loop. To finish off the look, I wrap more twine around the end with the loop to hold it all together. Once that is done, I cut the other end apart to get the fringe.
I hope you’re spending today with someone you love. To Hop to the next page, click the Next link here and it will take you to Katharina Baranski’s page. Or you can check out any of the pages by clicking on the name below.
As Thanksgiving quickly approaches, there is one more thing to be thankful for… That’s right, a Stampin Up sale! For the first 24 hours, Stampin Up will have a number of stamp sets on sale at really great prices. Tuesday through Sunday, Stampin Up is adding some of my favorite framelits and dies to the sale. And we’ll close out Cyber Monday with a bang. Check back later for those deals.
A brand new product?!? Say what?!? Yes, the Stampin Blends markers are available to purchase starting November 1st. The Stampin Blends markers are alcohol based markers and they help you create beautiful coloring with shading. Check out the Orchid in this picture. It is stunning. You really get the depth of the flower with the lighter and darker areas. With a little bit of practice, you’ll have these markers mastered in no time.
